Your canvas as your respite;
A beginning and an end to each day.

It all began when the client shared their feng shui master’s brief — The brief was colour specific. For instance, the living room had to have a neutral palette of greys and beige with a pop of colour, and the bedrooms are representative of each occupier; Red and pink for the Mister and Missus of the house, blue for their elder daughter and lastly, pink for their youngest.
With other geomancy principles in mind, the concept of creating a canvas for the family was reached; A canvas that will have splatters of each person, A canvas that will withstand the test of time; A canvas that will be filled in slowly, and surely.

The vision of an intimate home for the family of four started from creating a sense of arrival at the private lift lobby, and introducing gentle curves in the living room to mimic a soft embrace. The feature wall flaunts seamless lacquered natural-oak veneer panels that extend to the fluted panelled cabinet where all the nasty cords and equipment are hidden, whilst keeping it ventilated.

Manipulating the various shades and tones of pink (motivated by Chinese geomancy), we introduced a tinge of taupe to neutralise the colour palette of the master bedroom, breaking the stereotype of a “pink room” and creating a balance between femininity and masculinity.
